Organizations
Family Haven – (801) 229-1181 – Utah County’s crisis nursery. This free services offers help to parents that feel they are in crisis or would like to prevent getting to the point of crisis. This agency offers a break to parents in order to help parents be their best selves in order to prevent abuse and child maltreatment. This agency has childcare providers who are trained in play therapy language and have passed a background check who provide a fun, caring environment for your children while you take a break, go shopping, take a nap, go running, do anything that helps you feel like you again.
Saprea.org – This organization provides free-of-charge retreats in both Utah and Georgia for women with a history of being a child sexual abuse victim. The linked site has information about common trauma symptoms and practices that can help bring relief.
Wasatch Health Crisis Services – (801) 852-2131, 1175 E 300 N Provo. This agency provides services to all ages and can be utilized over the phone or face to face.
Helping Survivors – This organization provides information and support for survivors of sexual assault, abuse, and harassment to help them understand their rights and options to seek help and healing. Also is capable of providing legal advice for victims and their families. Claire Willis is the Outreach Director that you can contact at cwillis@helpingsurvivors.org
